I was extremely fortunate to play a small part in this amazing gala dinner for the ONEXONE foundation in Toronto Canada held at the Maple Leaf Gardens.
I can honestly say I have never felt so invested and passionate and at the same time humbled by being surrounded by amazing people all working for the ONEXONE cause.
Kontent Group President Geoffrey Dawe was on the board of Directors of ONEXONE and having successfully worked with Geoff at Kontent Group for Inside Entertainment I was introduced to ONEXONE Managing Director Erika Zorr and ONEXONE Auction Coordinator Erin Higgins.
One of the highlights of the night was the auction with the proceeds all going to ONEXONE.
The team were responsible for sourcing the many auction items and through Inside Entertainment contact Lexx PR we secured a bottle of Rémy Martin Loius XIII Black Pearl Cognac, retail £12,000/$16,000 per bottle
To celebrate the 140th anniversary of Louis XIII, the House of Rémy Martin released a limited edition Louis XIII Black Pearl Anniversary Edition cognac pulled from the Hériard Dubreuil family’s private cellars. An exceptional tierçon (the type of Limousin French Oak barrel used to blend and age the cognac) was selected for the limited edition release, with 775 decanters available worldwide.
The Louis XIII Black Pearl is bottled in a mesmerizing Baccarat decanter plated with thin layers of titanium, carbon, and gold that are layered upon one another. The process was designed by the House of Baccarat to be reminiscent of the original metal flask that was found in 1850 on the site of the battle of Jarnac and served as inspiration for the iconic Louis XIII bottles.
As part of the team, I was responsible for the Black Pearl from its arrival at the airport to taking it onto the stage to be auctioned off by comedian Russell Peters and actor Matt Damon.
As part of the auction, the winning bidder and one guest were flown to the Rémy Martin Chateau to engrave their names on the bottle won at ONEXONE
Kontent Group produced the gala brochure under the direction on Geoffery Dawe. Inside Entertainment covered the follow-up press in the Globe and Mail Newspaper.
