Kode, a full service design and development studio based on the iconic Liverpool waterfront.
I was the face of Kode and represented the company not just in the Liverpool business district but nationally. I was responsible for marketing as well as business development and partnership programs for Downtown in Business, Cowan Signs, and Defence Contracts International.
Kode were the first business to operate from Avenue HQ Liverpool and I arranged for Cowan Signs to install the signage in the building and also in the Barclays maker space.
I always want companies to have a social responsibility conscience and Kode was no exception. As part of a partnership with Wirral Radio, I arranged for Kode to sponsor the Child of Courage Award at the Wirral Diamond Awards. The award was deservingly won by William Magee. Since the Wirral Dimond Awards William has now launched a successful t-shirt printing business and I attended the busniess launch event.
As commercial Director, I presented several cases to improve the commercial impact of the Kode, from moving the operation from the Baltic Triangle to Avenue HQ to joining and then forming a strategic partnership with Downtown in Business.
I represented not only Kode but the creative industry in Liverpool and Manchester by chairing and taking part in debates and roundtable discussions addressing subjects such as the skills gap to the visitor economy.
For my services, to business, I was nominated for the Local Hero Award by the Liverpool and Sefton Chamber of Commerce.
Kode won best Digital and Creative Business of the Year in 2017 and 2019 at the City of Liverpool Business Awards and were featured in the Downtown in Business Big Black Book of influential businesses.
